Remember this shocking national security assessment, only released thanks to an FoI, warning of ecosystem collapse? That was only the summary. The government still won't release the full report, not even on a confidential basis to MPs on the Environmental Audit Committee.

I am appalled to hear how @KarlTurnerMP was treated by the Labour whipping machine - turning mental health into a stick to beat its MPs with when they refuse to follow orders is not OK.

R to @carla_denyer: We all know that how economists incorporate, or ignore, the value of nature & the costs of pollution has a knock-on impact on decisions & who benefits from them. When the chancellor supports more oil and gas extraction in the form of ‘tie-backs' it's clear that balance is off.

By forcing a vote on oil & gas the Tories are wasting valuable time that should be spent working cross-party to plan for the energy transition & future-proofing jobs. There is no future in fossil fuels. Pretending otherwise fails workers, billpayers & the next generation.

R to @carla_denyer: The work @WeAreTheLoopUK does is a key example of an effective harm reduction intervention that should be a common public health approach and incorporated into a national drug policy.

R to @carla_denyer: I also learned how to administer naloxone, in case I ever come across someone who's overdosed as a result of taking an opiate (heroin, nitazenes), knowingly or otherwise.

R to @carla_denyer: .@WeAreTheLoopUK are a great example of a practical, progressive, public-health approach to drugs; collecting data on what's actually in the drugs people are buying (often more potent/not what they thought it was) & feeding that into potentially life-saving early warning systems

Have you heard of @WeAreTheLoopUK ? I met their team in Bristol - at the only Home Office-licensed regular drug checking service in the UK - to learn more about the work they are doing to reduce drug-related harms.

R to @carla_denyer: We know giving trade union reps statutory rights delivers real change, as shown by the success of health & safety reps in reducing serious injury rates. I'm glad cross-party MPs backed my motion in March calling for these rights for futureproofing jobs reps 🙏
