North Belfast: Violent Attack

My thoughts are very much with the victim of the horrific attack last night, and I echo the calls for calm in our communities. Communities in Northern Ireland are angry: they are demanding answers and they deserve answers, but sadly I do not feel they are getting those answers today. I certainly agree with all that the hon. and learned Member has said with regard to ethnicity. In relation to the police, we have to commend those young officers who go out daily and put themselves in harm’s way to protect our community.
