Bridlington Care Unit

The proposed rushed closure of the care unit at Bridlington hospital in my constituency is deeply concerning and must not go ahead. The unit provides vital short-stay rehabilitation close to home, especially for elderly residents, avoiding unnecessary travel to Scarborough or York for care or for relatives’ visits. Some 5,784 local residents have signed my petition in-person and online against the closure, in the light of Bridlington’s rapidly growing population, especially the over-65s. The pet
