R to @DavidBainesMP: The Practice serves around 3000 patients in Orrell and 5000 in Billinge. Patients deserve high quality care close to home. We need to save the Practice in Billinge, and long term we need to work to deliver a dedicated service for Orrell.

R to @AndyBurnhamGM: @AndyBurnhamGM and I caught up with Minister for Care @SKinnock in Makerfield this week. I’m supporting the campaign to secure the future of Billinge Medical Practice, and Andy is on board too. We made the case to the Minister and will continue to do all we can.

Our part of the world is getting a lot of attention right now due to the by-election down the road. I’m proud of who we are and what we stand for. Here’s some thoughts.

This is extremely sad and shocking news. John Kear has been such a prominent and successful member of the rugby league family for decades and the game won’t be the same without him. My deepest condolences go to his family and friends.

Every year before @TheChallengeCup Finals #rugbyleague comes together at the Cenotaph in London to remember those who have served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We’re the only sport that does this. We will remember them. Best of luck to all the teams today 🙌🏉
