Steel Industry (Nationalisation) Bill
Steel is to the UK what Yorkshire tea and Yorkshire puds are to God’s own county, what the hotpot is to Lancashire and what black cabs are to London. It is to the UK what the St Leger is to Doncaster and what the hood is to Haxey. It is about us. It is about what makes us and drives us. It is about pride. British Steel is at the heart of the UK’s industrial heritage. It was the backbone of the industrial revolution, driving global infrastructure and enabling military pre-eminence. It was key to

Banking Hubs
I have had the pleasure of opening two banking hubs, in Rossington and in Thorne, and have seen the success that they have brought to the area. However, I also have the Isle of Axholme—a rural area—in my constituency, and access to cash is really important for financial inclusion, local businesses, and the resilience of our rural communities. Will the review take that into account?

Audiology Services: Doncaster
I agree with my hon. Friend that the audiology action day was phenomenal, and that those in the audiology services at Doncaster royal infirmary are doing everything they can to improve the service that they offer my constituents, who are their patients. I have been exploring other opportunities; for example, I have been working with Specsavers in Thorne, to see whether there are services available on the high street that we can maximise and use. Does my hon. Friend agree that we need to work wit

My hon. Friend the Member for Bassetlaw (Jo White) mentioned dementia. This is Dementia Action Week. The ability to hear is so important, not just for the obvious reasons, but in the broader context of dementia. This is about dignity and being able to enjoy precious moments. The Alzheimer’s Society has a regular “singing for the brain” event at Cantley community centre, and it is a beautiful way to bring people together. The ability to hear, converse and grasp that music is so important. Does my

Q12. This Labour Government have backed the reopening of Doncaster Sheffield airport from the very start. It means jobs, investment, growth and opportunity, not just for Doncaster East and the Isle of Axholme, but for the whole region. Reform councillors in Doncaster are considering reversing their decision to support the investment that would currently facilitate the airport’s reopening. Does the Prime Minister agree with me that the airport remains a huge priority for the area, and will he con
