Our high streets need backing, not more burdens. Thank you to @KemiBadenoch for visiting Ricky High Street yesterday to meet local businesses. They want to hire, invest, and grow, but this Labour Government is making it harder, not easier. We must Get Britain Working Again.

The answer to youth unemployment isn’t throwing taxpayers' money at a problem his own policies created. Instead of hiking National Insurance and piling red tape on businesses, why not just let them hire young people?

Under plans to scrap many jury trials, what happens if a volunteer magistrate gets it wrong and someone is wrongly jailed for two years? The Justice Secretary spoke about permission to appeal, not delays caused by removing the automatic right. Can @DavidLammy please clarify?

The Justice Secretary has fallen short. He dodged my question in the chamber, just like he’s dodging responsibility for his prisons scandal. The public deserves answers.

I'm appalled by the Islamophobic vandalism that occurred over the weekend at Carpenders Park Lawn Cemetery. My thoughts remain with the families affected, and I will continue to be in daily contact with local police and community leaders.

I’m glad the council have now reversed their decision, but it shouldn’t have taken public backlash to support VE events. It is important that we in Hertfordshire honour those who gave us our freedom, 80 years after WWII. I look forward to joining VE commemorations on 8th May.

The local Lib Dem’s ignorance of the significance of this day is shameful. I have written to the council urging them to reconsider this decision.
