R to @SadikAlHassanMP: I'm boycotting X with immediate effect and it's time for all MPs and Ministers to do the same. There are alternative platforms we can use to communicate with the public.

I've written to the Prime Minister calling for an immediate government boycott of X. The platform's AI tool, Grok, has been used to create illegal sexual imagery, including child abuse material.

R to @SadikAlHassanMP: Restricting this feature to paying subscribers doesn't solve the problem, it just turns unlawful activity into a premium service.

R to @SadikAlHassanMP: We cannot credibly condemn X for enabling this abhorrent activity while continuing to use it as a primary communication channel. This sends a confused message and gives the platform undeserved legitimacy.

Storm Goretti has caused the Met Office to issue a yellow weather warning for parts of #NorthSomerset due to rain and snow 🌨️ This means possible travel delays on roads, rail or air with the risk of cancellations to rail and air travel.

As Parliament returns this week from the Christmas break, it was great to wish #NorthSomerset citizens and my fellow Members of Parliament a Happy New Year in the Commons Chamber. I'm looking forward to continuing to work hard representing North Somerset throughout 2026!

Today, the Government has announced it's Road Safety Strategy - the first in over a decade. 4 people die on Britain's roads everyday with thousands more injured which is why we need this strategy to reduce deaths and serious injuries by 65% by 2035.
