View on X ↗Under the last Conservative Government, Thames Water was allowed to get away with dumping filthy sewage into our rivers. It is therefore welcome that they are finally being held to account. We must now see a ban on bonuses and an end to huge profits for offending water companies
Very pleased to meet with @networkrail and @TfL earlier today. The Richmond branch of the District line has been a constant issue for residents and visitors recently and I’ve urged their teams to do everything they can to improve service.
The Conservatives left our economy on life support. That's why the Liberal Democrats are urging the Government to invest in healthcare, in GPs, dentists and hospitals to kickstart the economy after years of chaos.
Good to speak to @itvnews about the Chancellor's upcoming announcements. The Conservatives wrecked the economy, but now we need to see Labour create a new plan to bring NHS waiting lists down and get our country growing.
Great to see the designs for the new Kingfisher Leisure Centre today. Their team are on track to break ground in the spring of next year and the work can’t begin soon enough.

Great to visit @DCMS and speak to @RhonddaBryant about the need to protect creators from data mining by AI developers. Musicians, writers, artists, and other creatives should have control over how and when their work is used.
While reforms in Whitehall are welcome, Labour need to focus on growing our economy from the bottom up. In my response to the King's Speech yesterday, I urged the Government to focus on supporting local communities and small businesses to put us back on the right track.
The Richmond branch of the District Line has failed repeatedly over the past few weeks leaving many residents and visitors stranded. Last week, @Gareth_Roberts_ and I wrote to Sadiq Khan asking him for his assistance getting the line back in working order.
Having an amazing time at the North Kingston Dragon Boat Race. Thousands being raised for local charities and everyone enjoying the party atmosphere. There’s even a team of Oompa Loompas racing for Fern Hill Primary!
Good to speak to @SW_Help's team today about the recent renovations to Barnes Bridge Station and the removal of the bike ramp. I'm pleased to hear work is already being done to find a replacement ramp which will ensure cyclists can once again access the station.
So pleased to join 50:50 Parliament's Get Britain Growing Reception last night. There are now more women in Parliament than there have ever been before and it was wonderful to see so many new faces ready to make our country a fairer, more equal place.
