View on X ↗Are potholes being repaired properly? I recently raised the quality of pothole repairs in South Shropshire during a Westminster Hall debate on rural roads. I'll keep pushing for fairer funding for our rural communities.
Constituency casework gets results. Openreach is now due to attend in June to connect the site to the main line, improving service for staff and customers. No problem is too small - if you need help, get in touch: stuart.anderson.mp@parliament.uk
Do you think Rachel Reeves is doing a good job? Many across South Shropshire tell me they’re worried about rising living costs, higher taxes, and having less left at the end of the month. Who has been your favourite Chancellor? 👍 Polls are right 👎 Polls are wrong
Good progress on Ludlow Youth Centre: a contractor has now been appointed and works are due to start in early June. I've been working with Shropshire Council on behalf of residents and will continue to keep the community updated as repairs progress.
How do we tackle the growing NEET crisis? Almost 1 million 18–24-year-olds are now NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training), up by 55,000 in recent months. What's driving this - and what should we do about it? #SouthShropshire #NEET #Skills #Jobs #Education
Today we remember the courage and sacrifice of all who took part in the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944. Their bravery helped secure the freedom we enjoy today. We honour those who served, those who never returned, and the families who carried their loss. We will remember them.

National Fish and Chip Day 2026 Crispy battered fish, fluffy chips, and plenty of salt & vinegar - hard to beat. I’ll be supporting a local chippy today. What’s your go-to chippy?
Lovely afternoon in Neen Sollars meeting with the parish council and local residents over tea and cake at the village hall. Great to hear local views and catch up with everyone - thank you for the warm welcome!
Pleased that, following my intervention in Parliament on proposed steel tariff changes affecting businesses like The Amodil Group in Cleobury Mortimer, the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Peter Kyle MP, has agreed to look into the matter personally.
Great to meet Jo Williams from the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) to discuss healthcare in Ludlow and across South Shropshire. Also met Friends of Ludlow Hospital to hear about their vital work supporting patients.
How many more questions before honesty and integrity return to government? The so-called “Mandelson files” (1,500+ pages) raise serious concerns over judgement and the “looking to raise taxes to fund benefits” messages linked to Peter Mandelson. What do you think?
Visited Parkhouse Nursing Home in Kinlet to meet staff and residents, see the outstanding care being provided for people with dementia and complex needs, and discuss the ongoing review of Health & Social Care in South Shropshire. Thank you to everyone for all that you do.
Whether it's for a meal, a catch-up with friends, or a community event, our rural pubs are at the heart of local life and deserve our support. Vote for your favourite and tell me why ✅ Vote on my website http://www.stuartanderson.org.uk/best-pub
