Good progress on Ludlow Youth Centre: a contractor has now been appointed and works are due to start in early June. I've been working with Shropshire Council on behalf of residents and will continue to keep the community updated as repairs progress.

Today we remember the courage and sacrifice of all who took part in the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944. Their bravery helped secure the freedom we enjoy today. We honour those who served, those who never returned, and the families who carried their loss. We will remember them.

Pleased that, following my intervention in Parliament on proposed steel tariff changes affecting businesses like The Amodil Group in Cleobury Mortimer, the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Peter Kyle MP, has agreed to look into the matter personally.

Great to meet Jo Williams from the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) to discuss healthcare in Ludlow and across South Shropshire. Also met Friends of Ludlow Hospital to hear about their vital work supporting patients.

How many more questions before honesty and integrity return to government? The so-called “Mandelson files” (1,500+ pages) raise serious concerns over judgement and the “looking to raise taxes to fund benefits” messages linked to Peter Mandelson. What do you think?
