A stroke happens every five minutes: that is six lives changed in the time that we have been sitting in this Chamber. Two years ago, while I was sitting in the Chamber, my husband suffered a stroke. We know that when it comes to the right care and treatment every single second counts, and we know at first hand why the work of the Stroke Association is so important, ensuring that everyone knows the signs and symptoms, because when a stroke strikes, acting fast matters. Will the Prime Minister joi

Middle East

I thank the Prime Minister for his statement and welcome his convening of a summit of leaders alongside President Macron. The situation in Lebanon is devastating. Israeli escalation has led to a grave humanitarian situation. The images of civilians being carpet-bombed are horrifying. I want to reiterate what the Foreign Affairs Committee heard today. We met with ambassadors from the Gulf. They expressed their genuine appreciation for the Prime Minister’s presence and Britain’s continuing support

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Craniocervical Instability

It is a pleasure to serve under your chairship, Ms Furniss. I thank my hon. Friend the Member for Cannock Chase (Josh Newbury) for setting out so powerfully why this debate is needed. The rare diseases action plan, published earlier this month, sets out the importance of increasing awareness of rare diseases among professionals. Does my hon. Friend agree that we can on

Q4. Violence against women and girls is a global emergency. It is a key concern that we discussed at last week’s United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Social media platforms are promoting and profiting from vile online misogyny. It has made its way on to playgrounds, into workplaces and relationships, and even into our politics, harming women and girls and exploiting young men and boys. In the manosphere, everyone loses. What is this Government doing to tackle the harm being caused b

Q2. May I thank the Prime Minister for his leadership and his cool head on the situation in Iran? The leasehold system is legalised extortion. Last week I met dozens of my constituents who are leaseholders, and their tenants’ and residents’ associations. They are all telling me the same story: every single month they are paying hundreds of pounds while their service charges keep skyrocketing. They are trapped between bad managing agents and a system that is broken. Can the Prime Minister tell me
